About AllCalci

AllCalci is a free online calculator platform. We build tools that answer real questions — what a mortgage will actually cost, whether a SIP will meet a goal, how many calories a day maintains your weight — and we show the working behind every answer.

Why we built this

Most calculator websites give you a number and nothing else. You cannot tell which formula was used, what assumptions were baked in, or whether the result applies to your situation. That is a problem when the number decides whether you can afford a house.

So every AllCalci page shows three things alongside the result: the formula we used, a worked example with real figures, and the assumptions in plain English. If you disagree with our method, you can see exactly where we differ.

How we verify our formulas

Every calculator is checked against the authoritative source for its subject before it goes live:

  • Loans and mortgages — the standard amortisation formula, cross-checked against lender disclosure examples.
  • US tax — current IRS publications for brackets, standard deductions and FICA rates.
  • Health and fitness — WHO classifications for BMI, and the Mifflin-St Jeor equation for metabolic rate, which is the formula the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics recommends.
  • Indian finance — SEBI and RBI guidance for mutual funds and deposits, the Payment of Gratuity Act 1972 for gratuity, and Section 10(13A) for HRA.

We also run each calculator against a set of test cases with known answers, including edge cases like zero interest, very short terms and very large principals.

What we do with your data

Nothing. All calculations run in your browser using JavaScript. The numbers you type are never sent to a server, never logged, and never associated with you. The only thing we store on your device is your theme choice and your currency preference, both in local storage, both removable by clearing your browser data.

How we pay for it

AllCalci is funded by display advertising. We cap ads at four per page and keep them out of the calculator itself, because a tool you cannot use is worth nothing to anyone. We do not take payment to change a result or to recommend a product.

Corrections

If you find a calculator that gives a wrong answer, tell us and we will fix it. Accuracy is the entire product. Reach us through the contact page.
